↓ Actual guide below ↓ Foreword This guide was made as an aid for those experienced in the Wii hacking scene. It does not tell you what each & every program does, just a straight up list of directions. The method of obtaining the files needed for this mod isn't completely legitimate obviously because it contains copyrighted materials aka WAD files. It works, you know where you get the files. If you can follow instructions, go for it.

Edit: Also since some people may eventually pretty much ONLY read this guide and nothing else about hacking a Wii. In your section on CIOSCORP you may want to put a note like: Note: CIOSCORP installs over every official IOS on your system and as such, is one of the more dangerous applications to deal with if you do not know anything about it. If you want to remove CIOSCORP at any point after installing it, you need to install all of the official IOS's OVER the CIOSCORP IOS's. DO NOT UNINSTALL ANY CIOSCORP WAD'S. So i should -move the wad manager steps after tbr -change patching IOS249 to IOS36 with tbr.change cios installer to use IOS36 instead.

I revised it sir. QUOTE(odja @ Aug 4 2009, 07:47 PM). Click to expand.Actually you could include using dop-IOS to install the most recent IOS60 with the sig hash check. I think you can even just replace the wad installation of that IOS before the system menu with using dop-IOS instead. Just at least do it before installing preloader if you don't want to replace that step.
I'm not sure how it works offline though.I think you may need to have the IOS60 on your sd card not packed to a wad or something. Not positive on that though. By using dop-IOS to install it with the sig hash check, you will also be able to play installed vc/wiiware wads from the sd card menu.
Without patching that in as it stands, the sd card menu can only be used for official legit channels.
1a) The first thing to do is to downgrade IOS15. You will have to choose the location of your IOS now. If you have WiFi, leave the option on ' Download IOS from NUS' and press A. If you have no WiFi, change it to ' Load IOS wad from sd card' (2 times right or left) and press A. It will ask the same thing for IOS15 v257, so choose the same thing as you just did. Now let it install. B - Installing IOS36 with FakeSign Bug 1b) Once it finishes, it will ask to ' Aply ESIdentify Patch to IOS36'.
Press A to accept it. Then it'll ask if you want to enable NAND permissions as well. Press A to accept this too. Now you'll have to choose the location of the IOS again. Choose the same option as you chose in step 2a. And yet again, it'll do its thing so just let it finish.
C - Restoring IOS15 1c) Resetting IOS15 is optional, but recommended. Just choose one more time where to load the IOS from and press A. It will tell you that everything is successful! Press A to return to the main menu. Deleting Stub IOSs (not needed) This is a very simple process. 1) Start DOP-Mii via Homebrew Channel and press A to continue. 2) Choose the first option ( IOS: 36) by pressing A.
You will see another menu, where you also have to choose the first option (IOS, BC, MIOS). 3) In the new IOSs menu, go to one of the stub IOSs that is installed (you can see that on the right under 'currently installed', as it will show '(STUB)' then).
If you found a stub IOS you want to uninstall, press - (minus), then A to confirm. Usually, people uninstall IOS202,222,223,249 and 250 if these are stubs. Patching System Menu IOS Needed files for Offline guide: The IOS you want to install in SD:/WAD/ 1) Start DOP-Mii via Homebrew Channel and press A to continue. 2) Choose the first option ( IOS: 36) by pressing A. When the process finishes, your system menu will be installed!
